Hans Sitt (1850-1922) was a Bohemian violinist, violist, teacher, and composer. During his lifetime, he was regarded as one of the foremost teachers of violin. Sitt’s Op. 32 – Études for the Violin are available in three books. Book I: Twenty Études in the First Position (Volume 871); Book II: Twenty Études in the Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Positions (Volume 872); and Book III: Twenty Études with Change of Position (Volume 873).
