Mozart: Fantasie und Sonate c-Moll KV 475/457

The new edition of the Wiener Urtext Edition of Mozart’s important Fantasy and Sonata in C minor KV 475/457 is based on the first edition and on the autograph, which has only been accessible again for a few years; other early prints were used for comparison. Mozart revised the work for publication and provided precise performance markings. The new edition enables the reproduction of all versions, whereby the slow movement is also printed for the first time in the autograph versions. A comparison of the original version with the version intended for printing allows deep insights into the performance practice of Mozart and his time.
